4th Annual "Climb Miami" STAIR CLIMB

SATURDAY, April 12 - MIAMI -- 4th Annual "Climb Miami" STAIR CLIMB presented by the American Lung Association. 55 Floor Climb. 200 Biscayne Blvd. ealmas@lungfla.org; 954-524-4657; www.stairclimbmiami.com.
[ Climb Miami will be held at the Wachovia Financial Center in
downtown Miami. Over 1,000 participants will take part in this
vertical 55 story race, which is professionally timed and
ranked with start times every 30 seconds. Trophies are awarded
in a variety of categories giving participants an opportunity
to compete against the clock and conquer their quest to climb
1,210 steps! The proceeds benefit lung cancer research,
education, and prevention programs. Many of our climbers are
racing on behalf of someone with lung disease. "Survivor"
contestant and CBS4 & UPN 33 Medical Specialist Dr. Sean
Kenniff will be the master of ceremonies & the first climber.
There will be a courtyard party complete with live music, FREE
Chair massages, and a variety of refreshments. The $50
registration fee includes a commemorative medal, t-shirt,
official Event Towel Sponsored by Baptist Health South Florida,
courtyard party, complimentary parking, and a chance to win a
variety of amazing prizes. ]

[ Northeast Florida / Southeast Georgia's only clothing
optional park is hosting its fourth clothing optional trail run
and 1 mile guided walk on the Wood Nymph nature trail. All
proceeds benefit the Golden Retriever Emergency Assistance Team
(G.R.E.A.T. Rescue of Northeast Florida). The Hidden River
Resort 5K clothing optional trail run uses hiking trails
through open field, pine forest and along scenic St. Marys
River. All runners receive a commemorative T-shirt if
registered before April 10. The park is 14 miles north of
Macclenny off CR 185. Awards, food and refreshments are
provided after the race. All participants are welcome for the
day to take advantage of the park's 88 acres of hiking trails,
picnic facilities, secluded sand white beaches, hot tub and
swimming pool. That evening The Nudie Blue's concert will bring
the forest alive with music (extra fee). Overnight camping is
available by reservation. ]

[ The 21st Annual Melbourne Art Festival 5K is the largest race
in Brevard County and a reputation as one of the best executed
and most incredible runs in Central Florida. Event features net
computer-chip timing with starting line mat, a challenging run
over the Melbourne Causeway Bridge, a huge spread of treats
including fresh fruits, breads, juices, sandwiches, and all the
ice-cold bottled water you can drink as part of a spectacular
post run celebration unequalled on the race circuit. For those
daring runners, complimentary beer will also be served after

[ The 33rd Annual Northwest Track & Field Classic will be held
at Traz Powell Stadium / Miami-Dade College, North Campus.
Athletes of all ages from the Bahamas, Bermuda, British Virgin
Islands, Canada, Cayman Islands, Guyana, Jamaica, Mexico,
Puerto Rico, and throughout the United States/U.S. Virgin
Islands will participate. Featured races: Bob Hayes
Invitational 100 meter, Jimmy Douglas Invitational 200 meter,
Legend 50 yard dash, Coaches 400 meter relay, and Mothers 400
meter relay. Last year's Classic drew 3,200 participants. Open
to all male / female athletes; no qualifying standard. ]

[ TheInaugural Scenic 17 Sprint Triathlon promises to be one
of the most exciting events to come to Crooked Lake! Event is
limited to 500 participants with everyone receiving a tech tee
shsirt and finisher's premium. Unique 3-deep awards for
Overall, Masters, Age Group, Clydes/Athenas, and Relays
(M/F/Mixed), as well as tons of post race refreshments, music
and fun. Individuals $65, relays $130, through 6/2; $75 and
$150 after 6/2. Babson Park is located on Scenic 17 just off
27 south of Lake Wales in the heart of Polk County. Portion of
the proceeds to benefit the Kelly A. Wilson Memorial
Scholarship Fund. ]
